JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager – Administration (GM–Admin) is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing all administrative functions of the company, including Human Resources & General Affairs, Accounting & Finance, Legal & Compliance, IT, and Purchasing.
This role ensures the company operates with strong governance, financial discipline, effective people management, and seamless administrative support across departments. The GM–Admin plays a crucial role in aligning organizational operations with policies and projects from the Headquarters (YMC) and Regional Office (YAS), supporting smooth coordination and execution of corporate initiatives.
The role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and strong leadership to drive continuous improvement, enhance organizational capability, and support the company’s long-term growth.
HR & GA
- Lead and oversee all HR & GA functions to support business operations, organizational development, and overall company direction.
- Provide strategic HR guidance to the Managing Director and act as the primary liaison with Japanese executives on HR, GA, and organization-related matters.
- Provide strategic leadership for all core HR functions, including workforce planning, recruitment direction, employee development, and engagement, while ensuring operational execution is effectively managed by the HR & GA Manager.
- Oversee the company’s performance and talent management framework, covering competency development, leadership development, succession planning, promotion criteria, and the annual salary/bonus review to build a strong talent pipeline and support long-term organizational capability.
- Ensure full compliance with Thai labor laws, and internal HR policies.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and company standards.
- Lead the overall General Affairs function, ensuring efficient management of facilities, safety and security, office services, transportation, and employee support operations.
- Strengthen organizational culture, internal communication, and employee engagement to support collaboration and operational excellence.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate the HR & GA team to build a capable and service-oriented function.
- Support the Managing Director in decision-making by providing people-related insights, workforce analysis, and HR strategic recommendations.
Accounting and Finance
- Oversees all accounting and finance operations through the Department Manager, including general accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, taxation, accounts receivable, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Ensures financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and internal controls are aligned with company strategy and group policies.
- Monitors financial performance, identifies risks, and implements mitigation measures to ensure stability and compliance.
- Maintain coordination with internal and external audit teams and external legal advisors as needed.
- Drives process improvements, digitalization, and efficiency initiatives within finance and accounting functions.
- Provides financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making, and liaises with HQ / Regional Accounting on accounting and finance matters.
IT
- Oversee the company’s IT function and ensure all employees comply with established IT policies, procedures, and minimum requirements.
- Oversee and ensure organizational compliance with all IT security policies, standards, and guidelines issued by HQ or Regional IT.
- Monitor IT governance and standardization to support business efficiency and data integrity.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and ensure employees complete required security training.
- Collaborate with HQ and Regional IT teams to lead digital transformation and process improvement initiatives that enhance business performance.
Legal and Compliance
- Oversee legal and compliance activities currently under HR & GA, ensuring alignment with Thai laws and internal policies.
- Monitor compliance with corporate governance standards, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and internal procedures.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when legal expertise or support is required.
- Ensure compliance-related reporting, risk controls, and internal audit preparedness.
- Support investigations, disciplinary processes, and compliance training as needed.
Purchasing
- Oversee purchasing operations and ensure efficient procurement of materials, equipment, and services including monitor supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management to ensure competitive cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Strengthen procurement governance and ensure transparency, fairness, and full compliance with internal procurement policies.
- Coordinate with related departments to understand purchasing requirements, lead time planning, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and procurement strategies supporting business objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the purchasing function to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
Work Experience
- At least 10–15 years of progressive experience in related fields, including a minimum of 5 years in management roles
- Proven experience overseeing multiple functions such as HR, Finance, IT, Legal, or Purchasing.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience working with Japanese companies or multinational organizations is a strong advantage.
